Once a year on Καθαρά Δευτέρα (Clean Monday) the people of Greece celebrate the end of the Carnival period before moving into lent.
Across the country, you can find many fun ways that this is being observed however no one does it quite like the people of Galaxidi; a picturesque village on the banks of the Gulf of Corinth.
Since the mid-19th Century, the town has held an annual flour war where residents and visitors come together to paint the village and each other with brightly colored four in an exciting afternoon of really letting go and having fun!
Galaxidi is one of our partner locations so it's only fitting that we take people out there for this truly unique experience!
The price of the day trip includes:
- Return coach travel from central Athens
- Boiler suit, mask, and goggles
- 1 kilo of flour
- 5 alcoholic drinks/soft drinks and snacks from our secret bar
- Access to flour refills so you can party for as long as you like!
During the flour war, the village is divided into "combat" and "safe" zones so you can join in or watch when you feel like it. This also makes it a fun day out for the whole family.
