Come and enjoy the wine in the country where the grapes were grown
Wine has been a part of Greek culture for centuries. The first Europeans to cultivate grapes and turn them into fine, fruity drinks that warranted its own god and we still worship the drink today.
Greece has the perfect conditions to produce a wide range of wines; from the sweet muscat of Limnos to the dry reds of Archanes in Crete all the way up to Northern Greece where the fertile lands of Noussa produce wonderful Xinomavro and everywhere in between there are wonderful, unique and historical wines waiting for you to discover them.
The Greek Kitchen has been working happily with several producers for many years and we are proud to launch our collection of wine tours. Take a trip to an Athenian museum with a guide and enjoy a tasting after a tour, or head straight to the vineyards of Nemea or Spata for a winery tour and tasting with lunch? Did you know that there is beautiful old estate from the 1800's in Athens? Take a visit there and see it for yourself; the organic wines that they produce are excellent, you'll have a tasting session and a tour of the property to meet the horses in this beautiful oasis in the city.
